On the 7th of August 2004 Intragna was the stage of an exquisite sound collection. Bagpipe players of several Italian folk groups had come to offer the numerous visitors a tryst unprecedented as of today.

Bagpipes: The pride of their possessors

 

... the sound of the bagpipes imitated photographically: snaring and flowing.

 

A tambourine cannot be missing and accompanies rythmically the bagpipes.
Not only did the musicians stroll through the village ...

... groups also performed on the village's stage - the church's forecourt in a different light!

The piazza offered a spectacular backdrop and offered space for a large number of people.
Never ever before has Intragna seen so many bagpipes at one time.

In the break there was time to admire the bagpipes and their possessors performing in traditional liveries.
In the end a few visitors even shook their leg to the melodies ...
